I'm not making excuses for this dog who bit the kid. I
just would want to know if there were extenuating circumstances.

I have set up a number of rescue organization throughout the country. I
always explain that they are starting behind. The dogs they get may be
mistreated, beaten, improperly raised, or just problem dogs. If you start
with dogs
that have been abused, then you are asking for problems, and extra risks.

There are some dogs that are just not stable, (not unlike people) and not
all of them can be saved. You always have to remember that they are dogs, and
can't slap us upside the head. If they are not pleased, all they can do is
bite.
