Back in the fishing days, I had to stay home and ranch sit. It's all good. I
made the "boys" an awesome batch of cinnamon Rolls. FROM SCRATCH!!
They got back and they were both sick as can be. Went out one day and took a
beating. Bad storm. Back to rolls.
The brought in the ice chest for me to unload
Can ANY ONE imagine my horror when I opened the lid and there were my beautiful
cinnamon FLOATING around in water. Along with the fried chicken and hard boiled
eggs I made they so loved.
I NEVER made scratch cinnamon rolls again.
Their loss. And Ed.... they were AMAZING!!!
Oh well.

So we really need to figure out what causes down pasterns because if the
"fix" ( and I am not convinced it IS a fix) ....is not feeding a high protein
diet we raw feeders have a problem! Wonder if cinnamon rolls might help! lol

I have a 5 year old Black male that Gail Hardcastle once called gorgeous at
his Futurity and rightfully so placed him fifth in his class of six due to
his poor pasterns, never showed him again and his pasterns never
improved..... this male is large, plush ( many thought he was a coat) a head
to die for and despite his pasterns he is a very good mover! We decided to
breed him about three years or so ago, maybe four years ago.... we breed to
my half German bitch, so this was an outcross breeding! Had a small litter of
three. At seven weeks old the pick puppy bitch's pasterns went down! The new
owners were able to get them up and in fact showed this bitch, a very nice
mover in my opinion! .... I decided to NOT breed this male again.... now I'm
having second thoughts..... what would you do? All opinions welcome, I am NOT
sensitive.... Ed
