White Castle hamburgers are small, (about four inches) and a very thin patty
of meat. The meat is made with small holes in it, and covered with onions
when they fry them. Then they are put on a very soft hot bun, and sold mostly
to
young men who are so drunk that they don't taste the first ten or so, before
the grease starts to soak up the alcohol, and then the next ten taste salty
and tend to take care of any hunger, before you pass out, and wake up full.
There are a number of people who have never tasted a White Castle, and
mostly they were deprived of a depraved childhood. If you haven't had one by
age
20, you have missed the best part of the experience. You probably also never
learned to burp in rhyme with your best friend, never knew how to properly
demonstrate projectile vomiting, what your best girl looks like with grease
and mustard on her chin, and what true and honest heart burn was all about.
And, of course you never knew the joy of a hamburger blasting out your nose
from laughing.
I can't wait to have my first ten at the national.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
