The dogs don't do it on their own, not exclusively. they are taught to do it. It just LOOKS like they are doing it on their own, because the handler maintains a "hands off" attitude. That doesn't mean the handler hasn't worked with the dog prior to showing it. Not a whole lot of free stacked dogs would strike that pose every time on their own accord..........
