[ SHOWGSD-L ] What Makes the Nationals so Very Special

Not only do you get to see some of the very best dogs our country has to
offer
at the Nationals which keeps your adrenalin pumping and a permanent smile
on the lips, but there is another real and solemn reason for attending the
Nationals.
Many of our "icons" our top breeders and judges now in their 70's and 80's,
are
but a tolling bell ring away. Every year when we hug each other, we know
we may not see one another again. We reminisce over past assignment
together, funny episodes, the new lines and turkey necks we're sporting
below our chins, and silently hope this is not a final goodbye. Seeing the
dogs is special, seeing our friends of 50 years is....... so very special.
