I gotta say for all the dogs I saw last night, I loved the Scottie.. Don't get
me wrong, I am a huge Charmin (Sealy) fan, but not often do you find a Scottie
bitch with that much attitude and a topline that perfect.. Hands down, the
Terrier Group winner.
I wasn't hugely impressed by the Non-Sporting Group - the quality wasn't great
(you couldn't tell me that out of 42 Frenchies the one that placed last night
was the best)... I really like Tanner the dal, but he was too big for the Group
judge... and I don't like the Standard Poodle at all.
Puli was a nice dog and probably deserved to win Herding, but I really liked
the Terv and thought it should have won...
Hound, well, what can I say.. Pat Trotter always surprises me!
It is sad that there weren't more GSDs and I do understand the reasoning, but
in a venue like that, it was a shame there weren't more dogs for the public to
have access too.
BTW: the BEST dog (Argus) was sitting at home... Entered but we felt the
dollars would be better off hitting more Specialties!
