ANYTIME anyone is 'searching' out a site for the US National....when they call
the airlines to book
their flight to fly in and look at it.....they should also inquire as to flying
a dog in a #500 and #700
crate at the same time to the same site.
It will sure help them know how well attended the National will be with DOGS!

Video the facility. Search out close hotels to the site. Video them.
Gather contact information and include it so that Gail doesn't have to do al
the research . Do research on sod availability in the area or any other
surface offered by the facility. Check out host hotels and check on banquet
facilities. Check on herding facilities and find out if they will host an event
for the parent club how far away is it? Do they offer AB and C course? Video
it. Find out how many of the local club members are available to help. These
are a few of the things to do. Also check on how close you can fly a dog to the
site. I don't thing the ability to fly a dog is a consideration any longer.

I have not been following the thread BUT the last National in Ca was 1995. The
last one I went to. Tried to go to Oregon but my Mother got very sick so I
could not go. I would give anything to have another National HERE!!!!!! Has any
one checked on the Long Beach Convention Center?? Just a thought. I am sure if
we really thought they would have it here we could find a good place. I know
for a fact every time we found a place we got shut down big time. Could even be
in Nevada. Every one else has it there.
