sorry, ileana, but how can we complain about the AKC "running it(self) like a
business" (re increasing registrations to increase revenue), and then
complain that the some members of the gsdca "forget their mission."?
have to agree 110% with evan on this one. the gsdca is NOT a business - it
is a social club, made up of members with a common interest; the GSD. the day
we forget THAT interest, or mission, we are done. we constantly seek to find
ways of increasing the membership. "belonging" to a corporate entity in order
to insure profitability is certainly no incentive. the gsdca does not exist
to make money ... or lose money. as long as the club has the funds to do what
is necessary to fulfill its mission statement, then its ideals may be
realized - THAT is its intended "balance".
