[ SHOWGSD-L ] We need to consider

We do need to remember the "show" part of dog shows. Those outside the ring
want to see what is going on. Hell, most judges, me included, knows who is
going to win when they walk into the ring. That is not popular to say, but
often it doesn't take all the gaiting we do.
I know there can be surprises, but as temperament and bad coming and going,
but so often that isn't a factor.
It isn't about entertainment, except outside the ring. Inside you are
putting on a dog SHOW. I am award always of the time and costs that are being
spent to get there and always give a show to every entry. Some I know I am
not going to put up, but I do the temperament test, coming and going, look
at teeth and make sure every dog gets a look.
The exhibitors deserve that, at it is part of the duty each judge should
consider.
