Diane made me think.
I had a client in the office today who just discovered she has cancer.
She was letting it get her down.
I realized how lucky we all are every day. We get to play with out dogs, we
get to pet them, laugh at them, have them play with us, and show love with
each gesture. We get to talk to each other, tell jokes, listen to the
lives of our friends, and wonder at those who would bring us down. We are
German shepherd people.
We are owned by the best breed of dogs in the world. Dogs that live to make
us happy, and do so every day. We watch new people join in our world. The
children learn responsibility and joy from being around our dogs, and grow
with protection and comfort from our great friends, human and K9.
The world is better for us and our dogs, and we join in life with a
purpose, and believe in ourselves. The small problems that come up, the little
bumps in the highway of life, the pains or disappointments of daily existence
fail to overcome the joy of our breed.
Keep on smiling, laughing, dancing, and listening. The days to come will
be even better, and remember, only you can prevent forest fires. And only
you can depress yourself. Others can try, and if you grin, they will go
away frustrated.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
