You know what Bob, that is total BS and inflammatory.Your certainly not in any
position to suggest to anyone to get off their ASSES ,to encourage, discourage
or otherwise!! Many have supported the endeavor with their ENTRIES..have you
done the same? How many litters and entries have some on the Board nominated
and shown in the last 10 years??? I challenge you to compare my futurity
marturity entries and litter nominations over the last 10 years to yours and
others who have been on the Board while the futurity system has been tanking!!
IF I belonged to a regional club, I would not support giving money. Purina
funds a significant portion of this event( heaven forbid they should ever
withdraw their support)Plus clubs hosting fut/mat events invest more time and
money into the show than the PC,( which I understand also gets a portion of the
proceeds of the entries) yet a representative of the PC is asking for more???
Throwing more money( patching) a sinking ship( the futurity system) is not the
answer. CREATIVE THINKING and fiscal responsibility is the answer. If the
system is broke than it needs to be fixed. MANY have suggested innovative ways
to fix the system..no one listens. The solution is quite simple and other breed
clubs have revamped and made their fut/mat. events successful, perhaps the
GSDCA should get smart and immitate the success of others, instead of seeking
handouts from regional clubs many of which are struggling. C

Actually it was sent by an individual but was Board approved. Maybe certain
people should get off their A***ES . and "encoiurage instead of discourage" the
idea. �Julie Degen is a performance person and I believe she's supporting the
donation program.
