  I remember well when Evan ran for President, I too was on the ballot for 
BOD....and I will never forget the horrible posts and innuendos about Mr. 
Bunch's private life...and no I won't go into it again....I will go to my grave 
believing that many thought Evan or friends of Evan were behind this!...there 
are ignorant people in this club...I believe this turned the tide in Mr. 
Bunch's favor and this is what lost the election for Evan...don't know what 
kind of president Evan would have been, but I do know this, he's honest, loves 
the club and the people in it, he's one of the best communicators I know....and 
he has a real life...he gets "it".....Ed

I understand what Sam is saying, and I ran into the same situation when I   
ran for the board. 
  
I was asked to run for President because I was told that no one was willing 
 to do it.  I had said many times I would not be on the board, but like 
Sam,  I  always have been willing to help the club if needed. 
  
I then found out that Lew Bunch was also running. I talked to Lew and I   
agreed to continue but not to campaign and to make it clear that I thought Lew 
 was a great choice. 
  
Sam is, as so many have now posted, an honorable man. He did what is right   
for the club, and certainly we have no reason to fault Nadine who inherited 
a  terrible situation.  Sam, as one who knows what is happening is doing 
what  he thinks is the best thing he can do for the future of the GSDCA. 
  
This is what we want from our board.  There are some who put the club   
before their own interests, and for his decision we owe Sam a pat on  the back 
and a sincere thank you for thinking of our club and what is the future  of 
the breed, the club and the members.  We need club members like this,  not 
only on the board, but also helping as club members.
