Well said, Evan, especially the part about the 10%! There is a lot of
negativity in this sport. While it is difficult to avoid, a person need not

is to surround oneself with other members of the 10%.
Of course that was tongue in cheek. But, I do think in reality that 90% of
those in German shepherd represent the best that humanity has to offer.
Often the other 10% make us think that the world of dogs is going to hell, and
the breed is on the brink of extinction. In truth it is a great breed,
the exhibitors are fantastic people, and the future is sound.
Turn your back on those who would bring down others, ignore those who have
only bad things to say and offer, walk away from those who want to harm you
or hurt your feelings, and enjoy the rest. It is your choice who you
surround yourself with, and only you can prevent forest fires.
Oh, wait, that's another list.
