Whirlpool also makes Kitchenaid and Maytag so "BEWARE". I just bought a
new VERY expensive stainless steel Kitchenaid dishwasher ( for washing dog
bowls <G>) 5 months ago. The front panel is now pitting with little rust
spots. I contacted the warranty department...turns out it's
Whirlpool...and
they said "sorry, we only warranty cosmetic for 30 days. See article 5 of
your warranty". I said I think this is defective materials and crappy
gauge steel. Their answer was "We can send a factory rep out to see it, at
a
cost of $75.00. But exterior materials & workmanship are also only
warranted for 30 days. See article 5 of your warranty". Good ole' article
5,
Whirlpool's best friend. So I told them I will surely spread the word
about
their wonderful article 5.
Shoulda bought an LG. I love my LG front loader steam washer/dryer ( for
washing & sanitizing dog towels) and I love my LG 32 cf Fridge ( large
enough to store the club's cake overnight for the show the next morning).
