Oh no Carolyn.
You have this all wrong. You are assuming that the WUSV
and the GSDCA are on even ground - you know, a level
playing field. Oh no! The WUSV is the WORLD UNION. The
GSDCA is only an American club. They do not play by our
rules and expectations, we play by theirs, that is if
we want to play on their field.
You have to adjust your thinking from a mutual and
cooperative sport, with volunteer leadership to a
hierarchical structure of leadership. He who is the
country of origin makes the rules and if you want one
of their dogs, you must comply. You see, the error here
is that you presume to own your own dogs and have the
right to do with them as you choose. No, No! That will
not do. The dogs are German and are therefore owned by
the WUSV. You only get to play with them.
If we ever break with them, we will not be able to
breed with the real dogs. We will not be able to follow
the periodic changes in structure and popular nuances
of trends dictated by the President of the real GSD's.
We will be stuck with the age old faulty standard
originally constructed by the American Club, which
never changes structurally.
Carolyn, your view is so microscopic and locked into
adherence to the standard, the old standard. You have
to get with it and be cool. You missed out on the
banana back and the next alteration may miss you too.
You could end up with those nasty, faulty beautiful,
standard compliant GV's and GVX's that you have been
producing.
Oh, the tragedy of it all.

We are the official Club in the USA as a result of
being the PC for the Breed, we are the voting
member of the WUSA - the International registry for the
breed. Without this membership, we
cannot import dogs or show in other countries.
