Back in the day we did that in GSD Specialties. ALL OF IT! What happened?
Maybe Carolyn is right, It's us. It's all about us, not the dogs and the
sport. When you take the fun out with overpriced egos, it dies. Just
curious-What's the price of promising 9mo Golden?

I know exactly why the Goldens have such a great entry and the German
hepherds do not
steward at at least 7 all breed shows a year and I only do dogs that
o not need to be put on a table.
have stewarded for just about every large or medium breed, and can
ell you this.
. very few dogs in the GSD ring are owner handled.
. Other breeds...very few dogs are handled by professional handlers.
. The dogs that are handled by peofessional handlers are only in the
pen & breed classes
. it is very easy to look at a class of Great Danes of 20 dogs and
ick out the 5 professional handlers(because I have seen them for years)
. Many of the other breeds have exhibitors come in in motor homes and
he pot luck all meals and have a great time and they enjoy themselves
in or lose.......they also help each other......I know a lot of people
o not beleive this, but when you steward and are sitting in the ring,
ou get to see people
ho share bait, hold each others dogs....take dogs in for other people
hen someone owns more that 1 animal for winners............brushed
ther people's dogs
