I have been against the discounted membership since it was introduced last
year. Has there been any statistics that show exactly how many new members have
joined AND how many existing members did not renew? How many discounted members
of 2012 renewed in 2013? I am sure there is data that can be presented.
Since this discount seems to be the thing of the future to entice new members,
maybe what they should get is a choice when joining. For $30 you become a
member of the GSDCA and get the Review (no voting privileges until the
following year when you renew at full membership price.) Or you can elect to
join at full membership price $66 and become a member, receive the Review AND
have voting privileges.
Clubs that offer that usually call the NON -voting membership an associate
member. Maybe that should go on the ballot to be voted on by the existing
membership also.

Seems there will be a LOT of 'informed' white GSD votes on this issue.
It is advertised on the FIRST page of the White GSD International, Inc.
that the GSDCA, Inc. is offering $30.00 off the regular membership fee
and so now for $36.00 they can JOIN THE GSDCA, receive the Review...and
BEST OF ALL, have a VOTE in the future of the white German Shepherd Dog.
THANK VERY MUCH BOARD of the GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG CLUB OF AMERICA, Inc.
for your perfect timing....
The rest of us dummies can just keep paying the regular fee for someone
else to decide the future of our Beloved Breed.

"bring out" the Piebalds and Pandas. They are already here. They do have
AKC papers. Just like blues, livers, and longcoats. Are they correct?
No. But allowing whites to compete in breed classes is not going to make
anymore Piebalds and Pandas.
Again, let the membership vote and decide which direction the club
should head. I, for one, feel its very insulting to assume I don't have a
