[ SHOWGSD-L ] WDA ~ GSDCA - Dues and MORE!

AS I posted yesterday. We are BEHIND in opening our arms to the
WDA members and workers...those that really ARE the backbone of the
working dogs and that Club. Their 'Hierarchy' seems to be a failure
in leading them and seems unconcerned about the destruction of the
Club and all the members that have supported it with their time,
money and dogs.
A bad time for them...but now is a good time for the GSDCA, Inc. to
do what they should have been doing for some time, while 'fidgeting'
and 'fussing' about long coats and whites and amateur Futurities.
It is time to LEAD....with the Breed, and one of the purposes of the
Breed and the Breed STANDARD being the REAL and RIGHT REASON for the
decisions the Board makes and RIGHT direction we should want to go.
Make a serious and real effort to open our arms and offer those members
an opportunity to join now at the "reduced" rate that was used to coax
in another group and ask them to form a Committee among themselves and
work with Frank Fasano to begin the process of how to function the way
they dreamed of with WDA ....but under the umbrella of the GSDCA, Inc.
Set up a Committee to bring ideas and recommendations to the Parent Club
Board with a goal in mind of the 2015 or 2016 National to have a well
planned and organized 'COMPETITION' in conjunction with our National.
Find a way to feature them, their dogs and their competition that appeals
to our Parent Club, the Public, and the AKC so that we can begin
recognizing them and their trained dogs at our Nationals!
It is time........

Kathy, thank you for being forthright with your feelings. Many of the WDA
members put a lot of time and THEIR money in building the organization over
the years. They are shocked that this is happening. When I say, WDA
members I mean GSDCA members that built the WDA and then were cast aside in
the past few years. They never intended this organization(WDA) to turn on
the GSDCA. Their hopes, dreams and accomplishments have been destroyed by a
handful of people in the last few years. I feel part of their pain. I've
learned to love the sport and have learned a lot about it, not to mention
the friends that I have made in that venue. I have a "home" and that home
is the GSDCA , they have no home only the wreckage of a venue that will fail
under the banner of the WDA. The WDA has pissed away their "war chest", that
was accoummulated by GSDCA members over the years. I truly hope that the
GSDCA will welcome them and the sport that they love into the folds of the
GSDCA by formi
ng a committee designed to allow them to participate.

The WDA became at one timea nice alternative to that for people.

I believe the GSDCA should be involved in every possible aspect of this

ven Schutzhund. Now that the AKC has given the blessing to working dog

e can be free of the WDA. They serve no real purpose for the GSDCA , now.
I think that not only could the GSDCA do the club shows and trials , we

We have a great many knowledgeable people that are members of the GSDCA

As for ourselves, we were , WERE proud members of the WDA. We have chosen

Dan Yee promised
better, happier, warm fuzzy, welcoming organization...it has been

What a shame, we had great hopes for the WDA. But I won't lose any
