I keep voting for Rin Tin Tin as well because it's important to me. Most of
the time these things last until midnight. Does this one? And people will
stay up late to just get a head. I've found this out in a contest I had with
my GSD Koda a couple of years ago. I had all of my friends & their friends
voting faithfully every day for two weeks. I also kept a reminder going so
they wouldn't forget. It was a lot of work. I was ahead with a close-up
photograph of Koda holding a rose in his mouth coming up strong in the
second week. I stayed up until midnight on the last day to watch the votes
coming in. With this contest each person could only vote one time each day.
I had competed with over 400 entries with all different animals held on a TV
station in Phx., AZ. Then all of sudden there were two dogs getting 20 -- 30
& more votes at a time within a 10 & 15 minute period. Something looked
fishy. It just wasn't the same in those past days of voting. Two little dogs
had won the first & second place photo contest by MIDNIGHT. By morning I got
a message confirming that Koda's photo had won second place & a cat had won
first. There was an investigation & those other two people plus a third were
hackers & got caught. ...Other people were watching too & reported them. The
fun part was Koda & I got to be on TV. The first place cat winner was SO
scared when we came into the studio that she asked if Koda was going to be
interviewed with them because her cat hated dogs. I told her, "YES! We were
still trying to get into first place!" ...;o) Anyway, we were interviewed
separately...;o) P.S. For all of that work I won a beautiful video camera &
$100 for second place. And Koda got his face on TV!
