[ SHOWGSD-L ] Virginia HB339

Hello all,
I did make an attempt to go to the General Assembly this morning to speak
against HB339. However, others driving on I-64 had different plans for me
today. There were approximately 50 accidents in 1/4" of snow on the road,
very
humiliating for the drivers in my state. I got there too late, the vote was
done, passed 6 to 5. I ran into Kathy Strouse, Coordinator for the Chesapeake
Animal Control Unit. She seems to think that this will nearly double the
licensing fees that we receive at Animal Control. I am not feeling very
comfortable about this, but it has passed, and seems to be a done deal. Bob
Kane
was not there to speak against this bill, and sadly I got there too late.
