Hi all, I want to ask this question before it might become a life and death question. I have a very new litter of newborns born early this morning on April 19, 2012. There are six pups, five relatively normal sized boys of 13 to 19 oz. Then there is the one tiny girl, barely topping 7 ounces. She IS nursing. Everytime I visit the whelping area, she is moved to the head of the line privileges. I expect all of them to lose some weight in the first 24 hours or so, but she cannot afford to lose that much. What can I do to help her? I have never bottle fed before. I have never had a litter with such a small pup and with the desperately of weight with her siblings. /steve d.
