How to report BYB's and Puppy Mills

How To Report Backyard Breeders & Puppy Mills! 
FIRST, read and save  these contacts. 
If this gets flagged (no doubt by BYB's) take initiative and  REPOST it in 
your area. 
If you suspect someone of Backyard Breeding or a  Puppy Mill REPORT THEM!!! 
Here are good places to start: 
Get as much  information from the potential SELLER as possible: 
Address & phone # is  the MOST IMPORTANT as they are trackable and with the 
address & conditions  can also be checked for animal and public welfare. 
* THE IRS - they are  probably NOT paying taxes, the IRS loves to get 
people for tax evasion.

* The City where THEY reside - they probably don't have a license to do  
business (which is what they are doing)- google city, name, business license  
office 
* The County where THEY reside - if you have the address, google  assessors 
office public data, look up the address and see if the residence  address 
and mailing address are the same, and/or the name. If not, then look and  see 
if it says owner occupied. If it does and they did not report, they are  
renting the property, tax collectors LOVE to collect! 
* The State - tax and  public health, google state, name, revenue 
department, health department, etc.  Check here for the laws in your state:

*  Department of Agriculture, Animal Care Division - In 1966 Congress 
passed the  Animal Welfare Act, which outlines specific minimum standards of

for dogs,  cats, and some other kinds of animals bred for commercial 
resale. The AWA is  enforced by the United States Department of Agriculture.
