You don't have to do it with every dog you breed. But, by occasionally
working a dog from your breeding program, you will probably discover where you
are at in terms of structure, health, and temperament. At least, that way,
you will know you are on the right track and dogs from your breeding "could
do it" if time allowed!! *wink*
That is a great idea, and I do think some Asgard dogs are in performance
events. I just haven't kept track. And, it is so hard to get a top
conformation prospect, we usually send them to a conformation show home.
I know some of our dogs do go to great homes and shine in conformation. The
three that come to mind right now are Champion Asgard's Big Deal, Champion
Asgard's Out of Control, and Grand Champion Asgard's Icon. One is dead
and the other two are on the way to Philadelphia.
I am willing to send dogs to performance events, but we do so little
breeding, that they never seem to get there. I will work on that.
Also, I did get a herding degree on Select Excellent Patriot and have Kirk
entered in Rally. We have two AOEs so there must have been someone else.
Old can be fun. I am still waiting for the fun so far. What was I talking
about?
