I know it is not popular to say this, but I never avoided saying what I
believe because of what is popular.
I am not a sports fan. But, I was incensed when Mohamad Ali had his title
taken away for refusing to serve in the military, and the title was held by
Sonny Liston, a convicted felon. Then, Ali was vindicated by the Supreme Court.
I hate what Vick did. I didn't even know who he was. But, he is a person,
and people do make mistakes. This is a big one. It is not my place to say he
should be barred forever from his profession, or put to death for what he did.
The courts will decide his punishment, and his league can decide also, what
his debt to the public will be.
