I just heard this morning from a vet on the radio that if your intact dog
gets Valley Fever & is intact it will go to their testicals. Does anyone
else on line know more about this?

I have to be some kind of expert on Valley Fever. Ben had this. For the
first few months the vets, (three of them said he had cancer and we had to
amputate his leg). He had a large bony growth on his elbow. It was the size
of a golf ball and rock hard.

We had a core drilled and sent to a Vet school lab and they diagnosed
Valley Fever. We had been to Arizona for a dog show, and always took Ben
along.
We read all we could and also the vet wanted to put him on Fluconosol a
cancer drug for the Valley Fever.

They wanted $21.00 a pill, twice a day for the rest of his life. We ended
up in Tijuana and bought all the medicines there.

Valley Fever can go to any part of a dog. It can go to the brain or the
heart, which is fatal. People get it too, and depending on where it shows
up, can or cannot be treated.

Ben was bred for only about a year and a half, and when on medication, not
at all as the sperm was corrupted. When the litter was born they had
parvo, so we lost the pick male. But, Big Ben and Big Deal did OK, for what
time
 they had.

This was a while back, so maybe there is new information. I know that when
we tried to take him off the medication the growth came back. Within a few
months of the pills, the growth disappeared.
