I've had GSDs since 1979, which is when I got my Kirby--they just
don't quit. When we lived in NY I had 2: one for upstairs and one
for downstairs. The Kirby works great on hardwood, linoleum, tile and
carpet. You can't kill these vacuums and I wouldn't have anything else.
