Mandating a step-by-step test to be used by judges who do no understand correct GSD temperament (and in many cases are afraid of our breed) will be most damaging to our breedâ??s reputation and our dogs. I have seen (and reported the incident to the List) when judges use their bizarre interpretation of the temperament test to "break" a dog. Education of these judges would be the ideal remedy. However, the reality is that it is up to them to get this education and most are not interested.
