Breach presentations are perfectly normal (I think 40-50%). You don't always have to help, but if you can get two fingers up high enough on the puppy (NOT the feet or tail), you can hold on to the puppy during a contraction and ease the puppy down (NOT toward you) and assist the bitch. I've never heard of a bitch developing a stricture following a pregnancy/vaginal delivery....
