[ SHOWGSD-L ] Update on the GSD in Trouble in South Carolina - Asher

Hi All
First - thank you so much for the great response for Asher - the GSD in 
Greenville SC with the broken femur . . . .

Secondly - I wanted to update everyone on what happened at the vet today - this 
is what is posted on Asher's page at Noah's Arc Rescue :

Monday  Update....We have just found out that Asher’s break will require a 
special surgeon that can put a plate in.  The vet is in the process of finding 
a specialist and he will be transferred there either tomorrow or Wednesday.  
His vet bills will be far more extensive than we originally thought which is 
why the amount has gone up.

Originally, it was thought that Asher's broken femur could be fixed for about 
$800 - after being taken to the vet and having x-rays the vet estimated that 
the cost would be +/- $2,000. .we won't have a final amount until we get to the 
specialist . .Asher really needs all the help he can get . . . 

Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated.  This guy is not only 
beautiful but very sweet and loving - he was really making up to all the vet 
techs today and they all fell in love with him.
