[ SHOWGSD-L ] Update on Rowland's Rhyders Splash of Color (My Victor)

Thank you to all the kind-hearted interested people who took their time to
respond to my post of 11/08/04 regarding Victor (Rowland's Rhyders Splash of
Color). All of you have been so supportive and in tune with what I am
feeling and the horrendous decisions I am making day to day. Many of you
have stood where I am now standing.
Victor is still with me -- each day is a priceless treasure. He still has
his wonderful spirit and his innate ability to command respect when he
enters a room. He so enjoyed playing with his toys and balls, but now it is
impossible for him to do so because of the severity of his condition. Too,
most days he is troubled on and off by uncontrollable bleeding from his
mouth which is brought on by the most minor contact with anything. His
extraordinary coat is punctuated now by his bones protruding through since
his weight loss has been so excessive.
It has been four months since Victor began this journey at three years and
two months of age. Sarcoma is a deadly, insidious disease which knows no
boundaries and consumes life. As we all know, life does not come with a
gilt-edge guarantee but cruel circumstances such as these are more than
unbearable.
My chosen path for Victor is to let him live his life to the fullest
extent--even though the fullest extent wanes day by day. Surgery,
chemotherapy and radiation cannot save Victor so I offer him my undying
devotion, love, peace, kindness and my heart.
Again, my thanks to all of you for your continuing prayers, interest and
heartfelt support for Victor and me.
