My girl was x-rayed at six months and the vet said everything looked good. I never did her elbows after that because I thought a problem would have shown up by then. I x-rayed her hips again at about two years old. They were good. She had two litters of puppies. She had a really hard time with her second litter having to have a c-section in the middle of having her puppies(she had 14 pups...I do not know what she was thinking, I told her that I loved her and she was very generous but this was ridiculous). She lost alot of blood, had a blood transfusion and was spayed . When she was 8-1/2 she started to limp and that is when she was x-rayed again and we found the problem.
