[ SHOWGSD-L ] URGENT - Marion, Indiana ordinance 2nd hearing

Time is of the essence in submitting opposition to the proposed
anti-breeder ordinance in Marion, Indiana. The first hearing was held on
December 6th and the second hearing is scheduled for January 3rd! That gives
us
very little time to educate the Marion City Council on the evils of this bill
and shut it down. It looks like Senator Santorum isn't the only one who
tries to use the calendar to his advantage when holding hearings on bad
legislation. I'm quite sure the backers of the Marion Ordinance probably
think they
can slip this through while dog breeders/owners are busy with the holidays
and won't notice what's being done behind their backs.
I realize that everyone is busy with the holidays, but please try to
find time to read through this ordinance and help breeders in Marion defeat
this rotten city ordinance. A careful reading of this dangerous proposal
will reveal many more problems than just the breeder restrictions.
