Production Services
The filmmaking team of Sandy and Yasu Osawa is available on a selected basis to
provide production services to a limited number of clients. All production work
should involve some work important to American Indians and/or
have some relevance to the environment or social justice issues. Cultural
diversity and issues pertaining to artists are also of strong interest. An
organization or person working to benefit humanity in any way is also a
good prospective client.
Past clients have included the Mille Lacs Tribe for an EPA video, the Pacific
Science Center in Seattle for two videos on Willie Seaweed, and the making of a
Bentwood Box, to name a few. Current clients include The Evergr
een State College and the Miami Tribe. Currently, Yasu Osawa uses a Sony
Digital DVCAM for
shooting. He has over 30 years of experience shooting in a wide variety of
circumstances and is
gearing up to work in High Definition as soon as possible. He is also adept at
computer editing
and utilizes a variety of software. He handles all graphic art, titling and
still photography needs
as well as sound.
Sandy Osawa is a member of the Writers Guild of America and handles producing,
directing,
writing and narration work. Occasionally, one or the other can provide just
shooting or
scriptwriting to clients seeking additional assistance.
