DM, it is *never* a good idea to ask a "list" how to treat a seriously ill dog.
Tufts is one of the top Veterinary Colleges in the country. Traditionally,
Veterinary Colleges see more serious illness than any Veterinarian in private
practice will ever see. Tell your friend to trust the folks at Tufts.
I hope the bitch's condition improves soon.

So they rushed the female to Tufts, her temp got over 105.5 they have been
giving her IV antibiotics and IV fluids... and hydro morphine... she was
lethargic yesterday today... she is alert oriented and not eating, but
walking around
they state today they think it spread to a second one... and the one that was
initially infected has a purple spot. they are concerned and suggest surgery
within possibly the next 72 hrs... if it doesnt clear up
ANYONE have experience as to what RX and what treatment to use... i mean REALLY
how often does Tufts see this versus a repro vet?
