How often have we said to ourselves "Now that's a typey bitch".
Personally, aside from the standard, I see something noble in her - or him -
that separates this dog from all the others in its demeanor.

I agree....TYPE defines those characteristics that individualize a breed.
Within TYPE, there are STYLES which allow variations within TYPE.....

I have a different line of thought on type.
Type defines those things that make a particular breed different than other
breeds.Think about it if we call a dog or bitch typy it should be rich in those
characteristics that are demanded by the standard.
