I love the Canadian National as it is less formal, and great fun. I love the
American National as it is structured and a bit more formal, and exciting.
In both venues there are advantages, both venues have things that make them
fun, but the common element is that they are both full of dog people having a
good time.
Our board works endlessly to make the show work, and give up their own
chances to show or to watch the national. We keep on changing things and
working
on making it better each year. Some times it works and some times, not so much.
I know the schedule calls for us to start to complain about the upcoming
national, but we need to be careful not to include the board in that. The
bitching about the board is not to be started until after the national, so
that we
can include the actions taken at the annual meeting in our complaints.
There are good sound reasons to stick with the schedule.
