Funny stories about that show.
First our dog sired the Grand Victor. Before Tacoma went in, I was
standing back stage with the owner. She asked me if I thought he might go

this year. I said I didn't see why not. I didn't however, think Gail was
the handler. I thought it was John Wilcox.
Second Dan Dwier who used to be a police captain and Len Steen who used to
be a union rep came to me and said the electricians union were going to
shut us down unless we hired them to plug in our dryers. They didn't know how
to deal with them, and thought perhaps a lawyer could talk to them.
They asked me to talk to the reps. So, I went out to meet with two very
big dark men, (not unlike Flower Boy), who tried to get in my face and
threatened me with the entire electrician's union unless we did what they told
me to do.
I told them that I had about 60 or 70 full grown German shepherds that they
would have to deal with first, and then if they got by them, I would be
glad to listen to them. I suggested we go talk to a few of them right now,
unless they wanted me to bring a couple out in the alley to come greet
them. They looked at each other and turned around and ran off.
We never heard from them again.
All my life I have had more guts than brains. But, I never did respond
well to threats.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
