[ SHOWGSD-L ] Training the GSD vs. bad behavior?

Wanted: A human world where there are no negative
consequences to my behavior, and free cookies for
anything I do. OK, I do not really want it that
way. It's called socialism and its negative
consequences will ultimately lead to my being in
the pound, awaiting termination. Not a good thing
for dog or human! Life is filled with consequences
and learning responsibility is a good thing for
dog and for me. Please spare me from cookie
heaven!

You understood correctly Carolyn. Puppy stated
class early, it was a cookie power (my term) only
class. To make matters worse, the instructor
also encouraged the owners to "let the puppies
play!!!!), something I personally suggest my
puppy people NOT participate in, and
(surprise!!!!!...not) this puppy, starting at 9
weeks and continuing for the free time at the end
of subsequent classes...so for 8 weeks or
so....was terrorized by an older/larger
puppy(puppies?).
This had nothing to do with a dog not
understanding what was being asked of it.
