I agree how are we to reach the goal of improving our shepherds in health  as 
well as structure if we can't make an informed decision on who to breed to  
because the owners of the sire and/or dam are secretive on what is behind their 
 lines.  If you have a bloodline that may have bloat, mega or toxic gut do  
you really want to breed to another line that as the same.  There is  nothing 
wrong with being honest and forthcoming and the people who take that and  
spread it negatively are going to no matter what.
 
I admire the ones who are honest about what is in their bloodlines, it  takes 
courage.
