This really isn't all that unusual anymore.? I grew up in the midwest and lived
very close to the Town taxidermist.? He did everything from fish to cows.? Yes,
a prize Bull.? At one point, my Mom had seen a stuffed family cat in a
neighbor's home and actually considered stuffing her first Samoyed Champion.?
Well, the family vetoed that idea really fast.? Heck, we bought some beef
cattle once and?the one we kept we had to sell cuz nobody would eat him, LOL!?
Actually, he was a veal calf that we had?to nurse back to health. (we didn't
know he was a veal calf at the auction)? He was named "Short-horn" as his horns
were stunted.? When it came time for slaughter, the family again said?NO WAY!?
Even more recently, I had to sell my sheep because they were named.? My
daughter had a fit that I wanted to turn them into dog food.?
So, there is now a standing rule:? Never eat or stuff anything that has?a
name.? I don't think I could deal with one of my dogs stuffed and in my home
and I know my dogs couldn't.? The photos and memories are good enough for me,
tho I do have their ashes.? That is another subject.? How many of you keep the
ashes of your dogs?

How bizarre! I have my photo's and memories to keep me
company. I must say they looked "life like" right down to the eyes, but
as much as I've loved my animals, I could never do this. So what do you
