My ex and I were at a party once and we were introduced to a man who showed
guppies. I thought my ex was going to lose it...he HAD to ask if they were
judged on movement, attitude, structure, or what...the poor guppy man very
seriously tried to explain how the fish were judged...did they stay at the
bottom of the tank, did they move around a lot, etc. My ex was laughing so
hard he had to leave the room. Apparently there is nothing on earth that
can't be turned into a competition...the fish people travel all over with
the fish in plastic bags, it turned out...
Many on the list will remember AKC judge Eileen Pimlott. Her
husband Roy, who was also a dog judge, was a very serious and well-known
breeder, exhibitor, and judge of chickens!
