It seems like every year it takes longer to get back to normal after a National
and this year after pulling the camper home for 16 hours was no different. We
had a wonderful week in Topeka with great weather and show site. Our dogs and
dogs from our breeding did better than we could have hoped for.
First was our Kridlers Tumeric v Signature co bred with Tari Kridler and owned
by Candee Foss. He went 1st American Bred dog and on to Reserve Winners Dog.
Candee had him in great condition and he showed like a dream. The crowd
support for this young dog was unbelievable and we are thankful to all
including Bob Kish for the Reserve and the comments he made at the dinner about
Meric.
Than the Ray Bearone kids went in the ring.
Dephal's I'm Too Sexy went in 6-9 puppy bitches and placed third with her
second time in the ring. Her breeder Denise Hollister and new owner Zoriana
Peters were thrilled with her performance
Signature's Blair placed 1st in a very nice15-18 month bitch class and was
pulled out in winners to run with the three others Rita pulled out for
consideration. Jim Cozad her new owner was just beaming and his smile never
left his face for the rest of the show
.
Signature's Tortolla v Winsome out our GVX Miami was in what we thought was the
toughest class of the day, American Bred Bitches, and went second to another
Ray daughter. The crowd support and the comments after the class made us and
owners Kris and Frank very proud of this bitch and no she is not for sale.
Depahl's Halston owned by Manny and Norma Campo and Jose and Kathy Perez-Guri
and bred by Denise Hollister was the one that went over Tortolla and she looked
spectacular. She not only won the American Bred class but went on to Reserve
Winners Bitch. This on the day that followed her going Futurity Victrix under
Bob Kish. Congrats to all involved.
Winsome's Heiress v Depahl, the sister to Halston, owned by Kris and Frank won
the Open Bitch class and beat her sister to win Winners Bitch and go on to
Select under Ed. Three of the four bitches Rita pulled for consideration for
Winners were Ray kids giving us a moment of great pride, thanks Rita for the
thrill.
Ray than went in the ring for specials under Ed and gaited his way to #4
Select, we together with Kris and Frank are thrilled with his performance and
placing as well as his handling thanks to Lenny.
We want to thank all the judges, handlers, owners and breeders of these animals
for a successful show and a bright future.
We later found out that during the National the brother to Heiress and Halston
took 2 majors at local shows and the younger sister owned by Donna Calabrese
and George Berstler just won a 3 point major and BOS from the 6-9 class.
