liz is correct. i began taking the futurity litter nominations in the
fall of 2009 for the 2011 futurities and it is a constant struggle to get
pedigrees on many of the nominations. last year, both carol moore, futurity
chair, and i sent emails to those who had not turned in their pedigrees and
the emails were followed up by telephone calls. some STILL never sent them.
it is the breeder's responsibility to make sure that their nominations are
complete - by "complete" i mean that i have received the nomination form, 4
generation pedigree and fees, if applicable. while i cannot speak for
anyone else, i will not acknowledge a nomination and will not give out a
litter nomination number until all the paperwork has been submitted.
as far as communication on this or any list is concerned, i do not consider
it any type of valid or formal communication. i do post updates to 4 GSD
lists, including this one, but those updates are a courtesy to the GSDCA
members on these lists. anything that must reach all members is sent out in
a constant contact and published in the Review. i also receive many calls
every week from people who have questions about the nomination process and
am more than happy to answer the questions. carol receives many more than
i do. so, bottom line is that those who choose to keep on top of things,
do so. it neither liz's responsibility or mine to generate pedigrees for
anyone.

again by the person who takes the nominations, and those that do not
answer that request are noted as "pedigree unavailable".
The Red Book committee members communicate with people in many different
ways.
