The crates at the Pet smart etc. stores are getting more resonable all the
time. SOO get the dog that needs transport and contact the rest of us that are
really involved for the crate---I am sure you will get your $$$ back. Another
thought is to keep a couple, 1 medium and 1 large on hand--I could helpyou with

There are lots of truck drivers willing to do transports. One problem is they
would have to be owner-operators and not company drivers as many companies do
not allow dogs in the trucks. Another problem is that floor in the truck gets
extremely hot. A driver would have to keep the dogs crated, and otherwise be
willing to give up the lower bunk...unless they were the smaller breeds where
they could be put on the top bunk. Even with the a/c running all the time, that
truck does not stay all that cool at times. Therefore this idea does not always
work out. One would have to find the right circumstance.

I have been trying to rescue this little sable girl in Hugoton, Kansas . It
is a tough place to get transport from, but yesterday Tom the trucker told
me he might be going to Amarillo Tx for a load . I am convinced that he was
intentionally looking for a load in that direction because of her . Today
he confirmed it and he is going to pick her up in Liberal Ks . The shelter
is going to meet him there, it is about 36 miles from Hugoton,Ks . Now I
know very well that is not the shortest way to Amarillo from Aurora (
Denver ) Colorado.
