no. I am not a sucker....I am a lover of this breed who , by most of the
people on the list, would be considered a fancier or a novice...never have
claimed to be an expert...if it makes anyone feel better I will state that I
have not bred many litters in this breed, got interested in 1989...have
researched, read, asked questions, do my homework, made mistakes,gotten so
frustrated that I just walked away from it...But, the bug bit me along time
ago and I just can't seem to stay away from the breed..Now If I'm being
judged for my comments, who cares..if I am being chastised for my comments,
maybe I was a bit harsh, but the gsd lovers, breeders, fanciers, whatever
you want to call them, need to come to an undrstanding over health issues of
our breed.
Again, not saying that the breed is just unhealthy, but some of the opinions
on this list are. Nor am I attacking american show lines, I LUV THEM!!!
Have I bred champions? no, Have I bred unhealthy dogs? probably, early on
when I did not know or had I ever heard of a confirmation gsd. Am I wanting
to establish a reputable breeding program with champion and healthy animals,
YOU BET!! If my ideas won't do the trick, then why doesn't someone offer up
the tricks to making it work!! MC
My frustrations do not stem from the health problems that gsd's can and do
experience, but from the lack of concern that seems to be portyayed on this
list when someone voices their concerns about said health issues. it should
not be an issue that stirs such emotion, it should be an issue that everyone
needs to agree on...If there are f
