I taught my second AKC GSD to catch a toy football when he was older. He was
always playing with toys and teasing the other dogs. He used to steal one
girl's Kong since it was her favorite. Then he would toss it toward her but
not far enough that he couldn't get it before her! It was hilarious to watch
him in action! He was a Hawkeye grandson and a very special dog. He would
also get a larger ball, flop over on his back and then lift the ball up over
his head with his paws. He would hold it there a moment and then flop over and
do it all again! He was a character.
