There is no question in my mind; all of my personal dogs that passed have
been held in my arms and I have cried before it was done (and they don't see
me), then they are held afterward as their spirit soars to the Bridge and
then my tears can flow; the rescue dogs in my care are treated the exact
same way; whether they are here for one night (which has happened) or for
years; they hear my voice giving them comfort and compassion and my tears
fall on them as they pass. Yes, our greatest gift of all to our beloved
companions when they tell us it is time to go:-(
