I don't think the board is corrupt at all. When people are
frustrated, however, they will blame the most obvious person or group.
When the members of a club, such as the GSDCA, don't know what is going
on and are only allowed to know snippets of information, you can't
really blame them for being angry and upset.
Not all the Board Members are bad people, we all know that. Probably
none of them are bad, if it comes to that. Most of us have friends on
the board, or at least people we thought were friends...some have lain
quite low since the January meeting, however...and that makes everybody
suspect them all.
When I mentioned yesterday that there were thoughts of trading
assignments, wins, etc., I wasn't referring to everyone on the Board,
either...but it is a common opinion that people want to be on the Board
because they think it will help them "advance" somehow. And, some do
advance...as for those who wanted to be on the Board because they could
really do some good, I think most of us also know who those individuals
were. As I also said...the ones reading this know which camp they fall
into.
It's easier to blame the whole Board than to single one or two or
five out--the fact remains that no one knows the truth and that is the
burden that the Directors are going to have to live with...the
membership of the club is not composed of too many mushrooms, after
all. We can stand a little light, and some facts, as opposed to being
kept in the dark and fed a lot of happy horse manure.
