Yes, 15 years ago Bob & Bill did co-own an import who, by the way, was
good enough to become a SELECT American Champion. They have not co-owned
anything since. I always get quite a chuckle when I here people say that
Bob only likes German dogs. Are ANY of you aware that Dux is the FIRST
import Bob has EVER given points to? Bill Leonard showed under Bob before.
He did NOT win. Dan Smith showed Jim under Bob. He did NOT win. I have not
seen Dux in person. I have seen a picture of him in motion. I could only say
WOW!!! Yes, Bob is my friend and has been for 30 years. His integrity is
impecable. With Bob, it is always about the dog, not the owner or handler.

This new import of Bill Leonard's won his first major under Bob Drescher.
(I understand that Bob and Bill co-own/co-imported a Champion import) It
appears that these imported dogsoften win under judges like Drescher,
Goldfarb and Dan Smith because these judges appreciate a "German" type. I
think it's great that there is someone for everyone and everyones type of
dog. I hope that in Germany, there are German judges that like our American
type as well.
