[ SHOWGSD-L ] Three BIG herding brags!!

This weekend was the annual herding trial put on by the German Shepherd Dog
Club of the San Gabriel Valley. It offered "C" course in the morning and
"A" course and tests in the afternoon. I had a really good weekend there!
1. Maya--my 3 year old coated sable GSD--she qualified an Advanced C leg
each day to earn her HXC title today. She did this with 2 2nd place
finishes in classes of 4-5 much more advanced dogs. She also won the
Intermediate A class today (7 dogs).
2. Juno: this is Maya's father (6 years old). He won the Advanced C
class today (got 3rd yesterday). But his big brag is that yesterday he got a
2nd in the Advanced A class which finished his Herding Excellent Master's
in A. This makes Juno the ONLY GSD to have earned a Herding Excellent
Masters in both "A" course AND "C" course!!!
3. Lana: this is my quiet overachiever! Missy Lana (5 years old) came
out to do only A course, and BOTH days won the Advanced A class (7-8 dogs
each day), got High Scoring GSD in Trial, AND went High in Trial BOTH
days!!! She got a 3 point major on Sat and a 4 point major today!
Can't complain about this weekend: 2 new titles, 2 HIT's and now Lana is
almost to her Herding Championship!
